Transforming into a "sleeping beauty" in a giant shoe at times and other times, a "doll princess", she always creates her other self and play with it. Is this the ultimate narcissism? The world of her excessive beauty and loveliness has exploded. (Commented by Shigeo Goto in magazine "LOVEKOTO")

「ドイツのツイード」単にダジャレのようにも思える作品だが、アニメ、実写、語り、文字、音 楽などがミックスされていて、説明的ではあるが文脈がない。山口冴子の作品は、表面的にはポ ップでキャッチーであるが、映像そのものには肌触りそして感触があり、きわめて「触覚的」で あるといえる。 ）

"German Tweed" (In Japanese, Doitsu no Tsuido) seems a simple pun, but the work is a sampling of animation, live-action, narration, letters, and music and so it is explanatory, yet decontextualized. Although it appears pop-like and catchy on the surface level, the image itself reaches the visual sense of the viewers, and thus, one could say she has been creating "tactual" video works.
