これから様々な場面での活躍が期待される、AJCでご縁のあった作家たちにエールを送り、これまで支えて下さった皆様にご挨拶する機会になればと思い、現在開催中の展覧会最終日、3/14（日）18:00から、ささやかなクロージングパーティを開きます。お忙しいとは思いますが、ArtJam Contemporary最後の夜、一緒にお過ごしいただけたら幸いです。スタッフ一同、心よりお待ち申し上げております。

Invitation to the closing party on 14th March (Sun) To encourage and send our best wishes to the talented artists who contributed to ArtJam Contemporary, and to show our deepest appreciation for all of you who have supported us, we will humbly hold a closing party on the last day of the current show: 14th March (sun) from 18:00. It will be so nice if we could gather around at the last day of ArtJam Contemporary. We are looking very much forward to seeing you!

芸術表現活動を支援する施設『芸術創造館』が、様々なジャンルのクリエイターを招いて主催するイベント『芸創ゼミ』で、抜水摩耶が講師をします。美大を卒業してから芸術家として活動するということはどういうことなのか。大切なことなのに、意外とどうして良いかわからない人も多いのでは？　賞をとった方が有利なのか、売り込みはどうしたらいいのか、生活、創作スペースはどうしたら良いのか…　などなど、悩みや不安を抱えている人も多いはず。抜水ほか、高橋涼子、山元ゆり子という、新進作家として注目を浴びるアーティスト三名によるトークイベントです。当日はポートフォリオ・レビューもあるそうなので、是非ご参加下さい。

ArtJam Contemporaryでは、2月5日（金）より『ARTJAM TOKYO 2010』を開催いたします。本展覧会は、去る2009年12月12・13日に京都で開催されたアートコンペ（応募総数873通）『AMUSE ARTJAM 2009 in Kyoto』の受賞者7名による展覧会です。グランプリ、スポンサー賞、各審査員賞に選ばれた7名は、これからの活躍がおおいに期待される若手アーティストです。次代を担う才能を是非ご覧下さい。

ArtJam Contemporary is holding an exhibition “ARTJAM TOKYO 2010” from 5th February (Fri). It is the group show with the prize winners of an art competition “AMUSE ARTJAM 2009 in Kyoto” (873 applicants) which was held on 12th and 13th December 2009. The Grand Prize, the Jury’s Prizes and the Sponsor’s Prize went to 7 young gifted artists who are going to lead the next art scene. Please enjoy the show.

ArtJam Contemporaryでは、12月22日（火）より海老原優『Memorandum』を開催いたします。海老原は、今後の活躍がもっとも期待される新進若手映像作家です。今回の展示では、記憶や経験にまつわるメモランダムともよべる触覚的な映像作品で、観るものに大文字の「記憶」を呼び起こさせます。約2週間の展示になりますが、年内は無休で開廊しております。この機会に、是非ご高覧頂けますよう、お待ちしております。また、12/25（金）のクリスマスには、昨年に引き続き、NADiff A/P/A/R/T全館でキャンドルを灯す『Candle Night』を行ないます。18:00 - 21:00、キャンドルの灯で、作品をお楽しみ頂けます！

ArtJamContemporary is holding an exhibition by Yu Hebihara "Memorandum" from 22nd Dec. 2009. Ebihara is an upcoming highly expected artist who works with Audio Visual and Mixed Media. In this show, her movie with a sense of touch, that collects memorandum concerning memories and experiences, makes the viewer recall "MEMORY". It will be only a 2-week show but we will open through this year until 27th. Please do take this chance and come visit us. Also, on 25th (Fri), we will have the "Candle Night" as the last year and lit the whole building only by candles. Please enjoy looking at the art only with the candle light from 18:00-21:00!

ArtJam Contemporaryでは、9月7日（月）より企画展「Girls’ Zone 05」（増子博子×河野里沙）を開催いたします。日本の若手女性アーティストによる「純粋さ」と「強さ」を持った作品は世界のアートシーンにおいても高い注目を集めており、本企画「Girls’ Zone」では女性アーティストならではの身体感覚や感情 をそれぞれの方法で表現している作家を中心に今後も定期的に紹介してまいります。今回の展示では、2007年に『AMUSE ARTJAM 2007 in Kyoto』一般人気投票賞や、『トーキョーワンダーウォール賞』など数々の賞を受賞して以来、精力的に活動を続けている増子博子と、『ART AWARD TOKYO Marunouchi 2009』に出品、シュウウエムラ賞を受賞し、今後の活躍がますます期待されている河野里沙、二人の新進気鋭の若手アーティストの作品を展示いたします。この機会に是非ご高覧下さい。

ArtJam Contemporary is holding an exhibition “Girls’ Zone 05” from September 7th (Mon). The work of Japanese young female artists with “purity” and “strength” is attracting more and more attention in the art scene across the world. “Girls’ Zone” is a periodic project to introduce such artists who express senses and emotions that are unique to female artists in their own ways. This time we are showing the works by Hiroko Masuko and Lisa Kohno. Masuko has been energetically presenting her works since 2007, the year she had received many awards including public selection award of “AMUSE ARTJAM 2007 in Kyoto” and “Tokyo Wonder Wall Award”. Kohno has just started her career and is highly expected since receiving Shu Uemura Award of “ART AWARD TOKYO Marunouchi 2009”. Please do not miss this opportunity!

このたびArtJam Contemporaryでは、たけむら千夏個展『２つのふし穴』を開催いたします。たけむら千夏は1974年生まれのアーティストで、1999年に京都造形芸術大学を卒業し、精力的に活動を続けています。2001年には『第24回写真新世紀』優秀賞（荒木経惟選）、2003年には『第１回リトルモア』ビジュアル部門新人賞に選ばれるなど、数多くの賞を受賞し、新しい日本の女性写真家として高い評価を集めています。今回は4年ぶりの個展です。この機会に是非ギャラリーに足をお運びください。

We are holding the solo exhibition of Chinatsu Takemura “Two Useless Eyes”. Takemura was born in 1974. After graduating Kyoto University of Art and Design in 1999, she has been actively pursuing her artistic practice. She had won may awards including the Excellence award of “The 24th New Cosmos of Photography” selected by Nobuyoshi Araki, as well as the Newcomer Award / Visual Section of “The 1st Little More. This highly acclaimed photographer is back after 4 years. Please do not miss this opportunity.

このたびArtJam Contemporaryでは、抜水摩耶個展『私は強い、お前は弱い』を開催いたします。抜水摩耶は1982年生まれのアーティストで、2007年に京都造形芸術大学大学院を修了し精力的に活動を続けています。大学在学中からその才能は注目され、『第5回21世紀アジアデザインコンペ』準大賞、『ARTBEAT KYOTO 2005』グランプリ、『ART AWARD TOKYO 2007』に選ばれるなど、数多くの賞を受賞し「NEW POP」とも呼べる新しい日本の女性アーティストとして高い評価を集めています。彼女の描く作品には、ポップな女の子、武器、戦闘機などが数多く登場し、幾何学的なグラフィックとともに画面上でミックスされています。登場する女の子は、大きく広がりを見せる髪、長く伸びた睫毛、ポップで未来的な服装など、過剰とも言える女性性を含み、武器、戦闘機など画面を構成するグラフィック的要素とともに、「戦闘する少女」として描かれています。日本のアニメにおいて数多く描かれてきた「戦闘少女」が、男性が男性のために作り上げた倒錯的存在であるのに対し、抜水の「戦闘する少女」は、女性の女性に向けた愛情、女性自身が本来持つエナジーの肯定に満ちあふれています。今回の展示では、「戦うこと」をテーマに、新作ペインティングとドローイングを展示いたします。この機会に是非ギャラリーに足をお運びください

We are holding the solo exhibition of Maya Nukumizu “I’m strong, You’re weak”. Nukumizu is a artist born in 1982. After finishing the master’s degree of Kyoto University of Art and Design in 2007, she has been actively creating works. She drew attention to her talent already when she was in the undergraduate degree, winning many awards including the grand prizes of “The 5th ‘21st Century Asian Design Competition’” and “ARTBEAT Kyoto 2005” and had been selected to exhibit at “ART AWARD TOKYO 2007”. Her work is highly received as a new type of Japanese artist whose style can be called as “NEW POP”. In Nukumizu’s work, the subject matters such as pop girls, weapons, combat planes are often drawn and they are arranged on the geometrically graphic surface. The girls in her work have the almost extreme femininity such as the rich and long streaming hair, overly long eyelashes, and skin-exposing tightly fitted outfits. They are drawn with weapons and on the fighters as “fighting girls” in the graphical composition of the picture. Many of the “fighting girls” in Japanimation and in Manga are the perverted existence, created by men for themselves. The characters by Nukumizu are, on the contrary, those created by a woman, for women, more positively accepting “the power of woman/femininity”. Please come and see her new “fighting” paintings.

『ここで会うとは奇遇ですね』

このたびArtJam Contemporaryでは、伊藤彩個展『Naturally J』展を開催いたします。伊藤彩は、1987年生まれの作家で今年の「ART AWARD TOKYO Marunouchi 2009」では、準グランプリを受賞するなど今後の活躍が多いに期待されている新人アーティストです。
お化け、人、交尾、うんこなど作品に登場するモチーフそしてその組み合わせはどこか笑えるものであり、大胆な画面構成とともに描かれる作品は、開放的であり見るものの心を軽くしてくれます。
ユーモアと無意味。虚脱と思春期。今回の展示では平面作品と立体作品の両方を展示いたします。「描くこと」「創ること」の楽しさにあふれている作品を是非ご覧ください。23日（土）19時〜は作家を囲んでのオープニングパーティも開催されます。是非この機会に足をお運びください。

ArtJam Contemporary is holding the solo exhibition by Aya Ito “Naturally J”. This up-coming artist was born in 1987 had won the 2nd Prize of “ART AWARD TOKYO Marunouchi 2009” and is highly expected.
The combination of her motif such as the ghosts, people, copulation and human discharges are somehow humorous. Her paintings with dynamic composition are relieving and make us feel free : the humor and the absurd, the easiness and the adolescence. We will present both of her two-dimensional and three-dimensional works. Please come and look at the works filled with joy of “painting” and “molding”. We will invite the artist to the opening party on 23rd (sat), starting from 19:00. Please do not miss this opportunity.

ArtJam Contemporaryでは、新聞形式の大型作品集「ArtJamming 01：Girls' Zone」「ArtJamming 02：抜水摩耶」の発売を記念して、2009年5月1日（金）より若手女性作家9名によるグループ展「Girls’Zone Jamming」を開催いたします。AJCでは、2008年7月のオープン以来、才能あふれる日本の若手女性アーティストの2人展「Girls’Zone」を開催しており、アート業界はもとより各業界より高い注目を集めています。今回は、過去に「Girls’Zone」に参加したアーティスト9名の作品をリミックスし展示いたします。作品集も販売しています（限定500部）。この機会に是非ギャラリーに足をお運びください。

We are going to hold an exhibition “Girls’ Zone Jamming” from 1st May 2009 (Fri.) with 9 upcoming female artists to commemorate the publishing of our large-sized, newspaper-style zines “ArtJamming 01: Girls’ Zone” and “ArtJamming 02: Maya Nukumizu”. We are periodically holding the duo exhibition called “Girls’ Zone” with talented Japanese upcoming female artists and this project is highly received by the art scene and also is attracting more and more attention from various different circles. This time, the works of 9 artists who had participated in “Girls’ Zone” in the past will be remixed all together. The zines are also available at the gallery (limited edition of 500 each). 伊藤桂司は、過去約30年にわたって、精力的な創作活動を続けてきました。「イメージの乱交」ともよべるそのあくなき挑戦、化学反応の実験は、人間の深層心理をキックする「毒と夢」を体現するものであり、同時代の最先端の人々に多大な影響を与えてきました。
AJCでは今後、伊藤桂司の作品がもつ本質的な「アート性」を、コンテンポラリー・アートとしての価値付け、そして国際的な評価に繋げていくべく、彼のレプリゼント活動をスタートいたします。今回の展示は、その第一歩とよべるもので、デビュー間もない頃から現在にいたるまで制作してきたコラージュ作品やペインティング、それら過去の作品を現在において再構成いたします。同時に伊藤桂司のORGY VISUAL BOOK『SUPERNATURAL』も販売予定。是非この機会にお越し下さい。

ArtJam Contemporary is proud to hold a solo show by Keiji Ito “SUPERNATURAL” from 27th Feburuary, 2009.
Keiji Ito has been an active creator for the past 30 years. His unceasing challenges that can be called as ‘orgies of images' and the experiments of chemical reactions are the embodiments of ‘poison and dream' that kick our depth psychology and keep giving great influences on his contemporaries at the forefront.
We start representing his works with an emphasis on their essential “artistic quality”, to be evaluated internationally as contemporary art. This exhibition is the fist step of such a representation, by showing collages and paintings created since his debut until now and reconstruct them in the context of present time.
ORGY VISUAL BOOK “SUPERNATURAL” will also be available at the gallery. Please don't miss this opportunity!

このたびArtJam Contemporaryでは、Izima Kaoru『Landscapes with a Corpse』展を開催いたします。昨年末、伊島薫が15年にわたり撮り続けてきたこのプロジェクトの、ほぼ全体が網羅された作品集がドイツのHatje Cantzより出版されました。これを機に、日本では約10年ぶりとなる本展で、初期の2シリーズに加え、シリーズ全体を通観できるスライド・ショーを展示いたします。風景の中に唐突に置かれた「死」-　美しい画の中で繰り広げられる、何層にも織り重ねられたストーリーを、是非ご覧下さい。

We are holding a solo exhibition “Landscapes with a Corpse” by Izima Kaoru. Izima has started this project 15 years ago and the book which covers almost the entire pictures of it was published from Hatje Cantz at the end of last year. Taking this opportunity, we are exhibiting the first 2 series from the project and the slide show edited to show the whole series. A “death” unexpectedly placed in a landscape - please enjoy the layers of the story multiply woven in each image.

This exhibition, “Girls' Zone”, periodically introduces such artists who express senses and emotions that are unique to female artists in their own ways. In our previous two shows “Girls' Zone 01” and “Girls' Zone 02”, we have introduced works of Japanese young female artists that are “New Pop” and have set off as a gateway for up and coming female artists, found many responses in art scene and mass media. This time in “Girls' Zone Collection”, we open a collective exhibition as a show case of young female artists whose bright future so vividly shines on us.
